Super Simple Cream Puffs
°1 cup of water
°1/2 cup butter
°1/4 tsp. salt
°1 cup all-purpose flour
°1 cup heavy cream
°1/4 cup powdered sugar
°1 C. vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 400F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large saucepan, bring the water, butter and salt to a boil over medium-high heat. Once the butter has melted, add the flour all at once and stir constantly until the mixture forms a ball and pulls away from the sides of the pan.
Remove the pan from the heat and let cool for a few minutes. Add the eggs one at a time, stirring vigorously after each addition until the batter is smooth and shiny.
Using a spoon or piping bag, drop or pipe the dough into small rounds on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until the puffs are golden and crispy. Removing from oven and let cool.
In a medium bowl, whip together the heavy cream, powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
Once the puffs have cooled, cut them in half horizontally and fill them with the whipped cream mixture.
